Sometimes people are just born to something. You can tell by the look in
their eye, the excitement in their voice when they talk about it. By their
passion toward and pursuit of the task at hand.
I believe Colleen Stefanek was born to Wedding Planning, born to be a
Wedding Planner. Born to gather all the people and pieces necessary to
create an extraordinary and memorable wedding and fit them all together to
make that happen. Because she does; week, after week, after week.
Colleen grew up along the Central Coast from the age of ten, when her
family moved from the Central Valley to Pismo Beach.
She got her start in the “people business” (and that as much as anything is
what Wedding Planning is) early. At age 15 she was working at Fin’s
Restaurant in Grover Beach, and by age 18 she was managing Pismo
Beach Golf Course, just down the sand. (Her grandmother and business partner still own them to this day).
But it was the tragic death of her childhood friend, Addy Decker (killed while drunk driving) just weeks after they both graduated Arroyo Grande High School that served as a catalyst for her. She was asked to orchestrate a fundraiser for Addy’s mother to help cover costs of services, and time off for grieving. To bring people together for celebration resonated with her.
She attended Cal Poly, emerged with a degree in Experience Industry
Management and went to work as a subcontractor for Kramer Events as a Wedding Coordinator and Event Planner. In 2010 with her grandmother’s support (Lucille Osborn), both financially and as her biggest cheerleader, she founded Eventful Wedding Planning.
Colleen is very busy, not only as the owner and head planner of E.W.P. but
also as the SLO Wedding Planners Marketing Queen, and Co-Founder of
the Central Coast Wedding Channel. You will love her work and her working for you.To get the benefit of Colleen’s experience, passion and professionalism, please contact her at:
