Member Spotlight: Renoda Campbell Photography

Renoda Campbell is in the people business.  She LOVES people.  That is obvious by the way she greets – engages – listens and responds to them. A conversation with Renoda leaves a person feeling encouraged and affirmed.

Renoda is a Southern California native who moved to SLO County with her husband Christopher in 1998.  They worked in the “entertainment industry” in Los Angeles, he in film with Warner Brothers Studios, she in music with Warner Records.

For more than nine years she was part of the management team for groups like the B-52s and Counting Crows, and solo acts: Seal, and David Byrne (formerly from the Talking Heads).  Before working in music, she worked for the Playboy Channel and ABC Sports, where she served as their liaison to the International Handball Federation at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

After moving to the Central Coast, Renoda “reinvented” herself.  She earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cal Poly and then served as the Coordinator of Multicultural Programs, Coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Academic Advisor for African American students for the University.

Her interest in event promotion and management came from her many years working in the entertainment industry in Southern California; her love for photography came from her father, Rumby Campbell who was an amateur photographer and collector of vintage cameras.

Today, she combines both those passions in her business: Renoda Campbell Events and Photography.  She is a master at event planning, promotion and coordination.  Presently, the photography aspect of her business is her main focus but, she can help organize and orchestrate any special event or celebration:  Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday, Retirement, etc.

As a Wedding Photographer she is brilliant at capturing the best moments and memories of a wedding day.  She has a special affinity for working with LGBTQ couples and couples of Color.  It is Renoda’s goal to highlight inclusive intersectional wedding images.

If you are looking for someone to help make your event special, or someone to capture your event in photographs – Renoda is your person.
