The old adage is: “If you want (need) something done, ask a BUSY person.” Sounds paradoxical, I know, but it is true. BUSY people tend to be organized and disciplined. They know how to manage their time, how to prioritize, and are creative in their approach to getting things done.

All that to say, LISA KARCHER is the BUSIEST person I know, and she is all those things; a creative, organized, disciplined manager of tasks and people who as a wife, mother, and business owner knows how to prioritize life and the opportunities and responsibilities that come with it. All of which serve to make her one of the very best event planners and coordinators in the industry.

Lisa is the Founder of Elegant Affairs Event Design and Coordination, a full service wedding planning and coordination company that specializes in creating beautiful and unique weddings with personalized details.

Though born in Southern California, Lisa was raised here on the Central Coast, graduating from Paso Robles High School, before pursuing and obtaining an Agricultural Business Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. 

Her interest in and introduction to the wedding industry began in high school -with a job working with a large Central Coast catering company where she was instrumental in the planning, preparation and execution numerous wedding related events. The experience she gained, relationships she developed (with other wedding industry vendors), and friendships she made during this time led her to found her own business in 2010.

Lisa is a creative genius, with a vibrant personality. Her confident, but calming presence, attention to detail, and, “I’ve got this handled, you don’t have to worry about anything” attitude allows Brides and Grooms to relax and enjoy the wedding day of their dreams. She makes sure that “the BIGGEST day of your life is the most ELEGANT day of your life.
