Gennan first picked up a camera in high school and became immediately obsessed with the power, process and possibilities of capturing images.
Born in Montana, Gennan did most of her growing up in California. After graduating High School in Santa Cruz, she moved to the Bay Area to study art and photography at the San Francisco Art Institute; following which she earned a BFA in Photography from Art Center Center College of Design in Pasadena.
For years Gennan worked as a product photographer, a freelance photographer focused mostly on lifestyle photography and as a high end photo retoucher, for several national and international brands as well as celebrity photographers.
