Miranda Mayes was always the “Party Planner”.

Even as a kid growing up in Los Osos, if there were a celebration in the neighborhood – a birthday, a graduation, a holiday, etc.; she was involved. She’d come up with the theme, organize the games, put together the appetizers, orchestrate the event. She was super innovative and had a knack for helping others have a good time. She still does!

Miranda is the creative genius behind Palette and Pine, a signage company located in Grover Beach that crafts fun, unique, and inspirational signs for weddings…

…and for all of life’s other special events. Signs are a necessary and beneficial part of any celebration. Signs instruct, direct, inform and motivate. They tell stories and celebrate memories. Her skills, knowledge and cutting-edge machinery allow her to create signs from a variety of materials – acrylic, glass, wood, leather, metal, etc. A few years back Miranda’s parents purchased a gift store in Morro Bay – Mercantile on Main – and it was there that she began to develop her craft of sign making.

Sign making is a creative outlet for Miranda’s giftedness.

In 2019 she officially launched her business, after getting rave reviews for the signage she created for her sister’s wedding. It melds her passion with the needs of people who are in search of sign art for their events. Miranda has a degree in Business Administration and is an ardent (some might say fanatical) music lover/concert goer. She has attended over 200 concerts in her lifetime in venues across the country.
